The Swindon Town Football Stadium is home of Swindon Town Football club who play their League one football. The stadium is called the County Ground, caters for 15,700 seats and was inaugurated in 1986. In the summer months the stadium is used for concerts and over large scale events, recently performers such as Elton John have played at Swindon's Stadium.

Swindon play on Saturdays and tickets can be bought for a reasonable price (depending on which seat you choose) from the Swindon Town web site. Situated near to the stadium is a series of pubs and clubs for pre-match warm up drinks, although they tend to be extremely busy near to kick off, so it's worth taking a short walk from the stadium to find a quieter pub.

The stadium is situated next to Swindon's famous magic roundabout (the only roundabout in the UK that consists of five smaller roundabouts!) and so on home game match days the area gets extremely busy with delays expected. If you are travelling around Swindon on a match day, then it's worth avoiding the area completely, otherwise you'll get caught up in a lot of traffic!
